Inadequate US Federal Record Keeping

USA, rife w/ police brutality:
fed, FBI, Bureau Justice Stats + CDC (reporting)
DO NOT collect comprehensive data police killings nationwide
  • FBI relies on voluntary state police dept. reporting
  • data not forthcoming from all
## best police killings data comes from monitoring local media reporting
Chicago Police

disciplinary records expunged after 5 years
--> history of violence etc. wiped.

COMMENT

Reading this guy's posts started to freak me out.

If the police can do anything they like with someone like him, it means that do what they like in general and at all times.

So the 'ordered' world we think exists (where we have rights, are free from oppression and abuse etc) may not exist at all.

That's the part that freaked me out:  the feeling of vulnerability.

The post on the project site, proposing to change the name of the project, got me all worked up for a while ... but it's probably someone trolling.

This guy's death doesn't make any sense to me.

Why would you commit suicide if you were assaulted?
