Ilya Janitskin, the principal behind the so-called alternative news site MV-Lehtinen, was arrested yesterday in absentia by the Helsinki District Court, writes the Finnish YLE. Janitskin accused of incitement to racial hatred, fundraising crime, gaming crimes, aggravated defamation, assault, breach of confidentiality and copyright crimes, writes Yle. The crimes were allegedly committed in 2015 and in 2016. MV-Lehtinen is a Finnish-language news site that have seen a real boost in the past year. The reason is the many immigration-related crime that engulfed the country in asylkaosets track. In November last year, was gang-raped a 14-year-old girl in Finnish Ostrobothnia. And, as in Cologne, Germany and several other European cities were large groups of immigrants to attack and sexofredade women in Helsinki during the New Year's night. Such scares, and dozens of others of a similar nature, concerned about the Finns. Therefore, many came to the MV-Lehtinen who has become a thorn in the side of politicians as well as established media companies. The authorities have tried in vain to close the site and therefore has decided to bust the people behind it. Yle has also gone out and warned other "alternative media" and also urged Finns to not read Swedish newspapers and news sites like Friatider, Nyheter Idag, Dispatch International and Avpixlat. According to the Swedish-language Hufvudstadsbladet, a news which is also strongly hostile to the MV-Lehtinen, there can be talk of a European arrest warrant against Janitskin. Professor Arnon Soffer, head of Geostrategy at the University of Haifa, told the The Jerusalem Post on Monday that the current refugee crisis is a result of uneven population growth around the world, which he expects to only get worse. He said that as populations in poor countries around the world continue to explode, European birthrates continue to decline. The continent of Europe is "committing suicide" for allowing its own population to decline so much, he said, calling it a culture that "would rather have cats and dogs than children," which he joked was similar to Tel Aviv. He used the continent of Africa as an example. With around one billion people currently living on the continent and another half million expected in the next, decade, Soffer does not think it will be possible to create the necessary infrastructure, water systems, medical clinics and schools to accommodate everyone. This, he said, will force more and more people to seek asylum elsewhere. "They will head for one [place]: Europe." He said that though countries like Germany are welcoming in refugees with open arms and need more young people, they may face a backlash from their own populace who want to maintain local culture. However, he said that the  Muslim population in Europe is not interested in assimilating and that this will only worsen as more arrive. "Europe potentially can open its doors and accept more and more refugees, but if Europe says no, I can understand because they are afraid [of] the Muslims," he said. "This is a clash of civilizations and it will not happen in Africa or Asia. It will happen in France, Hungary and will eventually reach England and Germany." He criticized what he called the hypocrisy of Europe, touting peace and liberty, while the "bloody navies of Europe" turn back refugees coming by sea, letting them drown in the Mediterranean, or allowing them to suffer on land with nowhere to go. Soffer does not believe that Israel should accept more Syrian refugees, in contrast to calls by some Israeli politicians and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas. He noted that it is a desirable place because it is the only developed country in the region that refugees can reach by foot. However, he said Israel is too small of a place to absorb refugees. "We are a very small country," Soffer said. "We [have been] at continuous war for the past 67 years. Sixty percent of Israel is a military landscape. Sixty percent is desert and please leave me some space for additional Jews to come. So this is the story of Israel and we cannot be as generous as everyone expects us to [be]. No, we cannot do it. Soffer said there is no way to stop what he referred to as a "Tsunami Wave" of asylum seekers coming to Europe and does not expect a solution in the near future due to the global scale of the problem. Seriously, what does that even mean, when it is merely an empty slogan that is completely divorced of social and other consequences? It's typical of the feel-good tosh the press is so good at disseminating. Having just watched a couple of videos on the effects of Islamic immigration on Germany, Europe and beyond, my gut response in the comments section, was: Guess he hasn't seen this video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qZ-QX8LuKHA If you watch the video (ignoring some of the 'end of the Western world' type of dramatisation), this is documentary footage of the impact of Islamic immigration on Britain, France, Germany, Finland, Sweden and beyond. What is contained in that footage is enough to make your blood run cold. Given the events depicted in the video, I don't believe scepticism and concern is unwarranted or extreme. My response to The Local's inane refugee glorification messaging was definitely in the dispassionate remark category:  ie 'Guess he hasn't seen this video'. Almost immediately, and out of nowhere, I have Tom Barfield, editor of The Local Germany, whom I did not personally address, reply with some incongruous message: Incongruous because: (a) there was no 'angry' anti-immigration or anti-refugee communication to The Local or to Tom Barfield from one TokyoRose; and (b) it's not often that editors of publications devote time (taken from their busy professional schedules) to launch an attack, of sorts, on measured public opinion in what is, after all, a public forum. So why is Tom Barfield on the defensive -- or is that, offensive -- one wonders? He's had 'enough this evening' ... lol   Oh, the imagery that comes to mind.  ;) Barfield is undoubtedly a propagandist on the offensive. Estonians setting up a political party in Finland is bizarre, however many Fins they might have there.  Ghana sounds rather corrupt.  Something is going on there.  But I haven't looked at it beyond the above. The imprisonment in China is probably a big one for people who generally support human rights causes -- and for those who seek to exploit such causes or issues. I'm not in that mould.  On the whole, I tend to be emotionally remote from most things that happen on the planet.
