Thousands attend German rally against refugee influx

Dresden (Germany) (AFP) - Thousands of far-right protesters, many wearing T-shirts that read "refugees not welcome", gathered in Germany Monday to condemn the government for allowing an unprecedented migrant influx. With Europe's biggest economy expecting to take in up to one million people fleeing war and poverty this year, anger has flared among anti-foreigner groups and backers of the anti-Islamic "Patriotic Europeans Against the Islamisation of the Occident" (PEGIDA). [1.5 million, according to a leaked govt document ... where Germany has previously been taking 250,000 per annum. Hello? And even that figure is conservative, in my view. Add to that the families that will be imported and the German government's own leaked estimate is brought up to 7.36 million non-European immigrants -- here. I'm going to wager that is a very conservative estimate.]
"Merkel is guilty, commits ethnocide against the German people," read one banner at the rally in Dresden, the historic city in the former communist East where PEGIDA emerged about a year ago and is now hoping to rekindle the movement. [And the West of Germany is formerly Nazi German, so does this explain the German govt decision to ride roughshod over the wishes of ordinary Germans? The press is forever bring up that PEGIDA emerged in the East. Hey, maybe they're not as brainwashed as the utterly defeated and assf*cked West Germans under the British & US thumb, and maybe they therefore retain some sense of national and ethic identity.]
At their peak the xenophobic rallies attracted 25,000, but they fizzled early this year after PEGIDA's co-founder Lutz Bachmann, 42, sparked public uproar with Facebook selfies showing him sporting a Hitler moustache and hair-do. [They're patriotic rallies you c*nt propagandists at Yahoo AFP. Some guy takes a funny photo at the hairdressers and this sparks such an uproar that he steps down (from recollection), and this is 'noteworthy' this far down the track? lol More f*cking smear. The press is predictable. Let's not forget Prince Harry dressed as a Nazi (does that make him a Nazi?) ... and there's also the video of the Queen, the Queen Mother & Princess Margaret Nazi saluting. ]
But a week ago, attendance again swelled to nearly 10,000 according to German media reports. The police no longer provides crowd estimates.
Bachmann -- who was charged last week with inciting racial hatred by labelling asylum-seekers "animals", "trash" and "filthy rabble" -- was expected to again address the demonstration on Monday night. [Germany's seriously f*cked. Inciting racial hatred? This is Nazi Germany all over again, in a politically correct guise that demands the destruction of Germany. If this guy thinks a filthy rabble has descended on Germany, so be it. But Germany operates as a totalitarian suppressive state, so he's being bent over & f*cked by his government -- the same government that is destroying his country.]
As the crowd swelled to several thousand people, about three-quarters of them men and many waving Germany's national flag, police in about 10 vans looked on. [Guess flag waving's also a 'disgrace' ... anywhere but maybe in Israel. lol]
A week ago PEGIDA supporters, who often condemn what they call the "liar press", assaulted a journalist. [The press is poison. It is full of sh*t. Assaulted a journalist sounds interesting. Was he harassing them? Speaking of assaulting journalists, the Israeli authorities are repeat offenders. lol]
Supporters on Monday again yelled "we are the people", co-opting the slogan used by the pro-democracy protesters whose demonstrations a quarter-century ago preceded the fall of the Berlin Wall. Co-opting? [Well, the German government is co-opting Nazi Germany totalitarianism, so reviving the slogan of pro-democracy supporters is rather fitting in this case.]
"I'm not a right-winger, but I'm scared," said Frank, 59, one of the few protesters who agreed to speak to AFP, on condition he not be fully named.
"I think of my children and grand children," he said, voicing fears about the "Islamisation" of his country. "We fought for our freedom 25 years ago, we have to demonstrate again.
"I am OK with welcoming sick and wounded refugees, but in the TV images we can see young men. Those are economic refugees," he added.
Uwe Friedrich, 46, said he had been with PEGIDA since the start, and wanted Muslims to leave the country. He was waving a sign that read: "We have a right to our German homeland and German culture". [Fair enough. Germany is for Germans. Just like Kenya is for Kenyans and Pakistan is for Pakistanis.]
Another placard quoted Hungary's hardline Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who recently described the refugee influx as "a German problem" -- with the placard adding the question "where are the life rafts for our children?"
Another, more ominous sign read: "Resistance has become a duty against our country's destruction by Merkel & Co".
That it's even mention worthy that some guy from the Pegida organisation posed as Hitler for a gag photo at the hairdressers quite some time after the fact tells you this is about smearing the organisation -- as does the description 'far-right'. They're not a far-right organisation. They're normal people who don't want their country destroyed.
But if they were, what of it? The right is as legitimate as the left, if not moreso considering that the left is no longer about socialism, even as it pretends to be socialist. And the left's certainly not about nationalism in any shape whatsoever. It no longer represents the native working classes.
Notice the different set of rules for the British royals, who aren't being denounced by the press at every mention or being asked to step down because of Nazi family film footage and a penchant for Nazi dress-ups.
At least there's still some spirit left in a section of the German population that is banding together to stand against the invasion of their nation.
I feel so sorry for the German people. As they say, where's the life rafts for their children.
Germany is being destroyed by their corporate serving politicians.

Sounds like BBC propaganda. For starters they refer to 'Syrian refugees.' But the majority are from all over the planet.
And, for the most part it's able bodied young men that are descending on Europe. Young guys that should be defending or rebuilding their countries. So what's with the 'women and children' now?

This is an organised operation -- and we're not talking people smugglers of the profit-making kind.

Either that, or it's the CIA. Russia would be vulnerable from the both the west and the south if there's a caliphate established in Europe.

Germany expects 1.5 mn asylum-seekers this year: report

Berlin: Germany could receive up to 1.5 million asylum-seekers this year, according to the Bild newspaper, quoting a confidential document containing estimates that are far higher than publicly released official figures. Authorities have so far predicted that Europe’s top economy would record between 800,000 and one million new arrivals in 2015.
But Bild quoted the document saying that the authorities were now expecting to receive 920,000 new arrivals in the coming three months alone, bringing the total number of asylum-seekers this year to 1.5 million.
“The migratory pressure will increase. For the fourth quarter, we expect between 7,000 and 10,000 illegal entries a day,” according to extracts of the document, although Bild did not specify its source.
“The significant number of asylum-seekers risks becoming an extreme burden for the regions and communes,” added the document. The newspaper also quoted the document estimating that each asylum-seeker who successfully obtained refugee status could bring on average “four to eight” family members to Germany.
On the basis of the preliminary forecast of 920,000 migrants, some “7.36 million people” could therefore have the right to move to Germany due to family ties. Interior ministry spokesman Harald Neymanns would not confirm the figures, noting however that the onset of winter could slow the surge in arrivals – as shown in previous years.
“We are still expecting the migration pressure to drop in the winter months,” he said. Government spokesman Georg Streiter said he was not aware of the document’s existence. Chancellor Angela Merkel has been lauded worldwide for her decision to open Germany’s doors to refugees fleeing war and misery. [They haven't been reading what I've been reading about Merkel. lol]
But within Germany, her popularity is starting to wane as local authorities struggle to cope with the massive task of hosting the record surge in refugees.

The European refugee crisis will not end well, says Israeli professor

The developed countries of the world are scrambling to come up with a solution to the refugee problem but one Israeli geostrategist does not see an end in sight.
Professor Arnon Soffer, head of Geostrategy at the University of Haifa, told the The Jerusalem Post on Monday that the current refugee crisis is a result of uneven population growth around the world, which he expects to only get worse.
He said that as populations in poor countries around the world continue to explode, European birthrates continue to decline. The continent of Europe is "committing suicide" for allowing its own population to decline so much, he said, calling it a culture that "would rather have cats and dogs than children," which he joked was similar to Tel Aviv.
He used the continent of Africa as an example. With around one billion people currently living on the continent and another half million expected in the next, decade, Soffer does not think it will be possible to create the necessary infrastructure, water systems, medical clinics and schools to accommodate everyone. This, he said, will force more and more people to seek asylum elsewhere. [*that should probably read 'another half BILLION' expected in next decade, otherwise it doesn't make sense.]
"[Building the infrastructure] in another 10 years? Mission impossible," Soffer said. "They will head for one [place]: Europe."
He said that though countries like Germany are welcoming in refugees with open arms and need more young people, they may face a backlash from their own populace who want to maintain local culture. However, he said that the Muslim population in Europe is not interested in assimilating and that this will only worsen as more arrive.
"Europe potentially can open its doors and accept more and more refugees, but if Europe says no, I can understand because they are afraid [of] the Muslims," he said. "This is a clash of civilizations and it will not happen in Africa or Asia. It will happen in France, Hungary and will eventually reach England and Germany."
He criticized what he called the hypocrisy of Europe, touting peace and liberty, while the "bloody navies of Europe" turn back refugees coming by sea, letting them drown in the Mediterranean, or allowing them to suffer on land with nowhere to go.
Soffer does not believe that Israel should accept more Syrian refugees, in contrast to calls by some Israeli politicians and Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas.
He noted that it is a desirable place because it is the only developed country in the region that refugees can reach by foot. However, he said Israel is too small of a place to absorb refugees.
"We are a very small country," Soffer said. "We [have been] at continuous war for the past 67 years. Sixty percent of Israel is a military landscape. Sixty percent is desert and please leave me some space for additional Jews to come. So this is the story of Israel and we cannot be as generous as everyone expects us to [be]. No, we cannot do it.
Soffer said there is no way to stop what he referred to as a "Tsunami Wave" of asylum seekers coming to Europe and does not expect a solution in the near future due to the global scale of the problem.
"We are Western and [taught] by Hollywood that everything must have a happy ending. I do not see a happy end."
