War-Whore of Wall Street: Hillary Clinton

WAR-WHORE
of WALL STREET

DANGER
EXISTENTIAL THREAT TO ALL HUMANITY

Divert the nuclear nightmare that is now coming into view.

Hillary Clinton a threat to all humanity:

  • neo-con
  • warhawk
  • liar
  • unindicted criminal
  • Wall Street puppet

'Progressive left', instead of warning against her, is lecturing that it is 'duty' to help her get elected

Professor Michel Chossudovsky

"In so many words, Hillary Clinton's foreign stands as:  "to blow up the planet".

She has made statements to the effect that a first strike nuclear attack against Russia or Iran is "on the table", so that if she in the White House she could, in fact, unleash the unspoken, which is World War III.

I think this is something we have to address, both in terms of analysis, but in terms of political choice, so that anybody that wants to blow up the planet is not 'progressive'.

Secondly, she has a criminal record.  Not only in regards to the e-mail scandal, but also in relation to the Clinton Foundation, which is involved in fraud, money laundering, political cronyism etc.  It is amply documented.

So that, in effect, the choice for the American people is to elect a war criminal."

Narrator

Too many people become attached to the personality of these political personas, or fixated on the 'D' or the 'R' after their name.  This clouds their judgement and stops them from seeing their policies and agenda for what they really are.

Of:

Diana Johnstone
author:  'Queen of Chaos:  The Misadventures of Hillary Clinton'

Narrator says Johnson believes:

Hillary is best understood, not as a person, but as the instrument for the think tanks, Wall Street financiers and other connected insiders who want to embroil the United States in more illegal wars and plunder the country and its people even further.

Diana Johnstone
author:  'Queen of Chaos:  The Misadventures of Hillary Clinton'

[Hillary Clinton] "... is a shallow, ambitious woman, who has decided to make herself the instrument of the Washington think tank persuasion, and is using that to pose as a great 'expert' on world affairs, to be elected as president.

She simply is the embodiment of all that is terrible in American foreign policy, that has developed over the past decades."

Narrator

"It is no hyperbole to say that the election of Hillary Clinton as president this November would be one of the great tragedies in the history of the United States and perhaps the world."

The Globalisation of War:  America's "Long War" Against Humanity
Prof. Michel Chossudovsky

Professor Michel Chossudovsky

America's hegemonic project in the post 9/11 era is the globalisation of war, whereby the US-NATO military machine, coupled with:
  • covert intelligence operations;
  • economic sanctions; and
  • the thrust of regime change;

is deployed in all major regions of the world.

"The threat of pre-emptive nuclear war is also used to blackmail countries into submission."

This long war against humanity is carried out at the height of the most serious economic crisis in modern history; it is intimately related to a process of financial restructuring, which has resulted in the collapse of national economies and impoverishment of large sectors of the world population.

Narrator:

... His comments post 9/11, when he described the US as a leading terrorist state drew hostile fire even from allies on the left.

He has the gloves back on, denouncing Western greed & hypocrisy.

Noam Chomsky:

We need not rehearse the reasons why Britain, and later the United States, have been determined to control the Gulf region.

It's enough to recall the observation of the State Department in 1945 that the resources of the region are a stupendous source of strategic power and one of the greatest material prizes in world history

[In respect of Chomsky book title]

Noam Chomsky:

That's plagiarised from Saint Augustine, who in The City of God has a story about Alexander.  His forces capture a pirate, and there's an audience between the pirate and the emperor, and he asks the pirate, "How dare you molest the seas?"

And the pirate tells him, "I am a small man with a tiny boat, so they call me a pirate.  You're an emperor with a vast navy and you molest the world, but they call you an emperor."

And that's a good allegory for the world and, in particular, for the contemporary world.

The pirates are the ones who were contemned and not the emperors.

Of course, the general population is attacked by both the emperors and the pirates.

Saint Augustine is not saying that the pirate is a nice fellow; he's just saying he's a small criminal as compared with a major criminal.

Interviewer:

So, who does control the world?  Who are the emperors?

Noam Chomsky:

Overwhelmingly the United States since the Second World War, Britain before that, and concentrations of private power, which are enormous and tyrannical corporations closely linked to the powerful states.

It's a network of concentrated power with international institutions, like IMF and so on, which sometimes call themselves the 'Masters of the World'.

It's a phrase that was in the Financial Times, a little ironically, but not wrong.

Actually, they call themselves the 'Masters of the Universe'.  Adam Smith called them the 'Masters of the World'.  Now they're called the 'Masters of the Universe'.

They didn't have space age in Smith's time.

Interviewer:

But don't you sometimes need big government to deal with big business, since there is a kind of balance between these large forces?

Noam Chomsky:

It's like saying that there's a balance between the members of the Board of Directors of General Motors.

Yes, there's some kind of a balance.  But they're so closely interlinked and they're connected, that to first approximation they're the same thing.

Interviewer:

Now, did September 11th, do you think, mark a change in world politics?

Noam Chomsky:

It was a historic event.  It was the first time in hundreds of years that the West, Europe, and its offshoots, have suffered the criminal atrocity that they constantly carry out against others, which is quite a change.

That's why there's such shock in the West.

This kind of thing we do to you, you don't do it to us.

It's like the reaction in England in the so-called Indian mutiny rebellion, in India.  Tremendous shock.

[tape distortion]

... would use it as an opportunity to intensify repressive and somewhat violent actions, and that's just what's happened.

[skip]

Interviewer:

You make quite a lot in the book on the fact that there is freedom of expression in America.  But what you do point to is something more insidious, because you suggest that there is actually -- although there may be freedom of expression -- there's a control of freedom of thought.

Now, how does that happen?

Noam Chomsky:

It was understood, back in the time of the First World War that it's becoming much more difficult to control people by force.

The popular struggles have led to the development of unions, the parliamentary Labour party, franchise extended and so on, and coercion is just not going to work by force.  So, therefore, you have to control thought.

It's very striking that the contemporary systems of thought control, which are highly developed, very self-conscious, you know, leaders talk all about it.  They come from England and the United States.

So the British Ministry of Information, which the reader of any Orwell knows what it was, that's from the First World War.

It was aimed primarily to convert a pacifist population into raving anti-German fanatics, and it worked.  And it impressed people.

It impressed the business world.  That's the origins of the modern public relations industry.

It impressed American intellectuals who developed the conception of what they call the 'manufacture of consent', control of thought.

It impressed Hitler, who blamed the German defeat on superior Anglo-American propaganda and vowed that next time Germany would be prepared.

And it has led in the United States primarily, and in England secondarily, to huge industries devoted to control of attitudes, because you cannot control people by force.

Interviewer:

But dissent has been growing since the 1960s in the Western world.  I mean, people are far more sophisticated now.  Even popular culture reflects the fact that anything from the X-Files to the film, The Insider, that the idea of people discussing things of trying to manipulate public opinion; I mean, that's highly developed now.

Noam Chomsky:

Sure.  But when people were under the lash they knew about it, too.

People are so aware of it, that it has led to tremendous cynicism about almost anything.

I mean, nobody believes what government officials say, nobody believes what they read in the press, people don't believe professions.  It's led to enormous cynicism and tremendous opposition.  In fact, in my view, the more crucial things than the things you mentioned, are opposition to aggression.

Just take a look at the current war in Iraq and compare it with, say, the Vietnam War.

It's a comparison which is often made about the protest, but the comparison is completely false.

The opposition to the war in Iraq is far greater than it ever was to the war in Vietnam at any remotely comparable stage, and this is the first war, I think in European history, Europe and the United States -- the first one I can think of -- where there was massive protests before the war.  It's never happened.

I mean, in the case of Vietnam War, there was no protest until years after the war.

Just in the last 30 or 40 years, in say the united States, the level of civilisation among the general public -- not intellectuals, that's a separate category, but among the general public -- it's advanced enormously.

Interviewer:

So, do you think that intellectuals are not sufficiently engaged?  Do you think that they have become cynical?

Noam Chomsky

Intellectuals are a separate category.

Intellectuals are mostly servants of power.

I'm talking about the general public, not the intellectual world.

They remain pretty constant, I don't think they are subject to these changes -- except marginally, of course, to some extent.

But they are quite different and quite generally -- it goes right through history -- intellectuals have been servants of power.

Take, say, the First World War.

On all sides  --  Germany, England, United States, France -- intellectuals were extremely enthusiastic about the war.

There were a few dissenters and the best known of them ended up in gaol, like Bertrand Russell, for example -- or, Eugene Debs, in the United States, or Rosa Luxemburg, in Germany.

Very small group of critics.  Some of them best known in prison.

But most intellectuals were enthusiasts for their own country, and that's common and it remains common.

Intellectuals write history, so you have to be a little cautious about what they say about themselves.  And it looks prettier when it's written in books.

WikiLeaks: Google & Al-Jazeera Encouraged Civil War In Syria

Together with Al-Jazeera, Google developed a tool to track defections in Syria, hoping to encourage more former Assad allies to join the civil war.

By Mint Press News Desk | March 29, 2016

MENLO PARK, California — Tech giant Google collaborated with Al-Jazeera to develop an interactive online tool to encourage defections during the Syrian civil war, according to emails in WikiLeaks’ archive of Hillary Clinton’s emails.  [Comment:  Al-Jazeera Qatar state & partial Thani ruling family funding]

“Please keep close hold, but my team is planning to launch a tool on Sunday that will publicly track and map the defections in Syria and which parts of the government they are coming from,” wrote Jared Cohen, the founder and director of Google Ideas, of the proposed online tool in a July 25, 2012 email sent to Jacob J. Sullivan, deputy secretary of state under Clinton.

“Our logic behind this is that while many people are tracking the atrocities, nobody is visually representing and mapping the defections, which we believe are important in encouraging more to defect and giving confidence to the opposition.”

“We believe this can have an important impact,” Cohen added.

The archive reveals that Sullivan forwarded the email onto Clinton, adding, “This is a pretty cool idea.” Clinton, in turn, sent it to an assistant with instructions for the email to be printed.

In his email, Cohen revealed that Google Ideas was collaborating with Al-Jazeera, which published the tracker in English and Arabic shortly after Cohen’s email was sent. Although it was offline when this report was written, an internal analysis by Google called it “one of the most viewed visualizations on their site” and the tool later won an Online Media Award for the TV news network based in Doha, Qatar.

Google Ideas, which was renamed Jigsaw in a major company reorganization last year, is a think tank which maintains close ties to the State Department, according to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange in his 2014 book “When Google Met WikiLeaks.”
[here]

Before leading Google Ideas, Cohen served at the State Department from 2006 to 2010 under Secretaries of State Condoleezza Rice
and Clinton. Assange wrote:
“It was Cohen who, while he was still at the Department of State, was said to have emailed Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey to delay scheduled maintenance in order to assist the aborted 2009 uprising in Iran. His documented love affair with Google began the same year when he befriended Eric Schmidt as they together surveyed the post-occupation wreckage of Baghdad. Just months later, Schmidt re-created Cohen’s natural habitat within Google itself by engineering a ‘think/do tank’ based in New York and appointing Cohen as its head. Google Ideas was born.

An op-ed published on Saturday by RT criticizes Western media for largely ignoring the story of collaboration between Al-Jazeera, Google, and the State Department, although a few mainstream sites like U.K.’s The Independent did cover the story. Michael William Lebron, a media analyst that publishes under the name “Lionel,” told RT:
I don’t expect a reaction from Western media because Western media hasn’t even read this, has no idea about this … But can you imagine if the same set of facts were involved with the different countries, different corporations around the world depending upon your frame of reference. This would either be an outrage or ‘well, maybe this is a delightful and benign cooperation, an independent tech giant … and all for the common good of liberty’ and whatever. It depends upon your perspective.”

COMMENT

There's nothing 'benign' about the American state and American corporate aggression against the sovereign state  of Syria and Syria's government:  in particular its leader, Bashar al-Assad.

Actors who wish to further Saudi, Gulf oil states, Israeli and allied American and Western corporate and geopolitical interests have been involved in the concerted attack on Syria by proxy and by every other means possible (for years now), in order to attack not only Syria, but ultimately Syria's ally, Iran, which the American camp and its followers (especially the powerful pro Israeli camp) have been targeting with sanctions (to weaken) and lobbying hard to attack for years now.

Libya sanctions were lifted in 2003, just as the Iran sanctions have recently been lifted.
It took the Western alliance 8 years to set up opposition in the Libya and to attack Libya in 2011, in the guise of 'protecting' the civilians:  a population that was then pitched into civil war that still continues.

We know that these parties are also not averse to civil war or to sectarian war in Syria, just as they weren't in Iraq or in Libya, as their intentions are *not* benign:  these countries are targets of conquest and internal dissent, violence, Balkanisation -- internal weaknesses -- serve their purposes.
So I'm guessing that the lifted sanctions re Iran (and Cuba) are more of the same.  They're lifting sanctions to get close enough to build up opposition in those countries, to the point where *defending* the activities of the 'opposition' (ie their proxies) & 'defending' 'hooman rights', can then be used as an excuse for what is war of aggression planned by the West.

That's my theory so far, but I'm taking wild gut instinct guesses instead of knowing all the ins and outs of this (I've yet to read my copy of The WikiLeaks Files).

Syria should be supported in view of this brazen, concerted, aggressive US & friends led campaign to destroy and Balkanise a nation, much like they did Iraq,  by illegal conquest, for perverse exploitation by the same coterie of American-led aggressors.

PS ...

Check out how close the Twitter & Google tech mob are to the US Department of State:  no wonder all we get is controlled media propaganda and CENSORSHIP of real voices on these communication and information platforms that have been hijacked and monopolised by those that are engaged self enrichment, along with US state political agenda pushing.

Was going to give it a miss because I'm weird about registering for anything.

But I guess I can try to dig up some fake e-mail of mine.

I don't remember them and identities and passwords frustrate me.

Even tracking with notes doesn't help me.  LOL

It took me forever to find my e-mail and to get something happening.
It looks like I'm done.  Maybe not:  it's 'preparing to personalise my download'.  Got an e-mail confirmation but no e-book so far.  Don't know what's going on there.  Nothing yet.  It's still personalising.  WTF?  How about just making it available for download, guys?
While it's doing that, I can explore what's going on at the e-mail service.  I think.  I'm really uncoordinated and everything is taking a million years to do ... but time is passing at super-speed.  As in real time.  Hard to explain, but it really is.  LOL
Also above is a freebie e-mail service.  Easy to use.  E-mail service has anonymised e-mail set-up, if you don't want to use your proper addy on the service.  And the bonus is:  it's not American.  LOL
Of course, there's probably not much point in fake e-mails when you're downloading without bothering with Tor or something like that.
Waiting is doing my head in.  Can't possibly take that long to 'personalise' a download.   I give up.
They've got a bunch of other one-day freebie downloads if you go to their main page.   Waiting for download wondering what's going on is too frustrating for me.

Western Hypocrites & the 1965 Indonesian Right-Wing Massacres

Western Hypocrites & the 1965 Indonesian Right-Wing Massacres

Australia’s Role in the 1965-66 Communist Massacres in Indonesia

By Marlene Millott                 EXTRACTS

Fifty years ago, on September 30, one of the worst atrocities of the 20th century took place on Australia’s doorstep. Following an AIIA and ANU conference on these events, a young Australian reflects on Australia’s complicity.

An estimated half a million people affiliated with the Partai Komunis Indonesia (Indonesian Communist Party or PKI) were massacred by the Indonesian Army, with help from local religious and youth groups. These killings contributed to a reorientation in Indonesian politics, installing General Suharto as president and eliminating the once-strong PKI through violent purges and systematic imprisonment. Declassified documents have shown that the US and its allies played a significant role in these killings, as the US provided weapons, communications equipment and lists of known communists. As an ally of the US, the Australian Embassy and the Department of External Affairs acted in a way that made Australia an accomplice, by helping to create the conditions that allowed the massacres to take place.

In the years leading up to 1965, Sukarno favoured the PKI and it grew in strength, while his foreign policy became increasingly hostile towards the West. The Indonesian Army and the US and its allies watched these developments with suspicion, and formed secret relationships. From 1958-1965, the US secretly trained, funded and advised the Army to turn it into a ‘state within a state’ that would be ready to take over government if the opportunity arose.

On the night of the 30th of September 1965, the Commander of the Army Lt General Achmad Yani and five Generals were kidnapped by a group calling themselves the September 30th Movement. They were murdered and thrown down a well. The Army and the US embassy had been patiently waiting for an event like this. It declared the PKI responsible for masterminding a coup, seized almost all media outlets and spread the story of PKI treachery. General Suharto extracted a mandate from Sukarno to return order to the country, before setting out to destroy the Communist Party.

Across the archipelago, a campaign to eliminate the PKI saw the murder of an estimated 500,000 people. Victims were rounded up and detained for days, or months, before being executed. The Army was instrumental in the massacres, often accompanied by local militias. Those who weren’t killed were transferred to prison camps, with one million people held in detention facilities without trial, with terms varying from a few months to fourteen years.

Following the events of September 30th, Western nations solidified their support for the Indonesian Army, in an effort to remove the PKI from power and sideline Sukarno. The US and the UK, supported by other nations in the region including Australia, carried out clandestine operations which supported and encouraged the Army-led massacres of alleged PKI. Documents from the National Archives of Australia show that the Australian Embassy and the Department of External Affairs were closely aligned with the Indonesian Army, offered support for their activities in overthrowing Sukarno and eliminating the PKI, and used Radio Australia to broadcast Army propaganda in Indonesia that contributed to anti-Communist hysteria.

Cables show that the Australian Embassy was aware that Communists were being rounded up and killed from early October 1965. The Australian Ambassador to Indonesia, Keith Shann, ‘personally witnessed’ around 250 prisoners being taken away by the Army, and noted that it was impossible to know the number of people killed and detained, but ‘it cannot be small’. In February 1966, J.M. Starey, the First Secretary at the Australian Embassy, visited Bali, Flores and Timor, and spoke to Australian students who had been in Lombok. He heard first-hand accounts of the killings by people who had participated in them, and in Flores even saw victims’ heads on spikes in some villages. Starey noted that the Army was in control of the proceedings. The Australian Embassy and Department of External Affairs made it clear they were satisfied with these events. In early October 1965, Ambassador Shann cabled the Department saying that it was ‘now or never’, and that he ‘devoutly’ hope[d]’ that ‘the Army [would] act firmly’ against the PKI. In mid-1966, Prime Minister Harold Holt expressed detached satisfaction with the pro-Western shift in Indonesian foreign and economic policy. He casually told the crowd at the Australian-American Association in New York ‘with 500,000 to one million Communist sympathisers knocked off, I think it is safe to assume a reorientation has taken place’.

As the Indonesian Army murdered hundreds of thousands of alleged PKI, the Australian Embassy maintained ties with Indonesian Army generals, discussing anti-PKI activities and ways Australia could assist the Army in its transition to power. A cable from November 12th 1965 shows Ambassador Shann discussed the Army’s anti-Communist campaign and Australia’s military campaign in Borneo to defend the newly created Malaysia against Indonesian aggression with the Undersecretary from the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dr A.Y. Helmi.

Helmi requested Australian and British troops restrict all patrols and activities in Borneo, so the Indonesian Army could deal with the Communists. Shann reassured Helmi that the Army was ‘completely safe in using their forces for whatever purposes they saw fit’, knowing those forces would be used to attack PKI members and allies.

The biggest role Australia played in the 1965-66 massacres of the PKI was through broadcasting and supporting Indonesian Army propaganda. In the weeks that followed the attempted coup, the Indonesian Army seized control of virtually all of Indonesia’s media, and began an aggressive and pervasive anti-PKI campaign which spread disinformation aimed at discrediting and dehumanising the communists.

...

Australia’s actions as an accomplice to these killings should not be exaggerated. The massacres of the PKI took place against the backdrop of years of tension and hatred between the Army and the PKI, in a complex internal political environment that would have seen the killings take place regardless of any role Australia might have played. Fifty years later, those who committed the atrocities have never been brought to justice. Denial of the killings is rife. Where it is acknowledged, the perpetrators are admired as heroes who saved the nation from a Communist menace. As activist groups across Indonesia struggle to cut through the propaganda and spread the truth about the massacres of the PKI, it is important that Australia’s role in these events is understood.

EXTRACTS

"Fifty years ago, the Indonesian army, led by Gen. Suharto, used an alleged coup attempt by the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI) as a pretext to mount a savage right-wing seizure of power.

Starting on October 1, 1965, at least 500,000 people were murdered and millions were imprisoned without trial in appalling conditions for up to 20 years. Many were subjected to torture--including rape and other sexual violence--forced labor and exile."

...
United States, the UK and Australia
charged with conspiracy for role

in facilitating commission of these crimes
...

"established that the state of Indonesia during the relevant period through its military and police arms committed and encouraged the commission of these grave human rights violations on a systematic and widespread basis."

"done for political purposes: to annihilate the PKI and those alleged to be its members or sympathizers, as well as a much broader number of people including [former President] Sukarno loyalists, trade unionists and teachers."

"design was also to prop up a dictatorial violent regime"

"It cannot be doubted that these acts, evaluated separately and cumulatively, constitute crimes against humanity, both in International Law and judged by the values and the legal framework of the new reformist era  ..."

"The tribunal called on the Indonesian government to implement the recommendations (to take action to find justice and provide reparations for the 1965 crimes against humanity) made by both its own Commission for Violence against Women in 2007, and Human Rights Commission (Komnas HAM) in 2012 after hearing representatives of both bodies; and for Indonesia's President Joko Widodo to deliver on his electoral promise to act."

Government brushes off Hague tribunal on 1965 massacre

thejakartapost.com, Jakarta | National

The government has refused to acknowledge the International People's Tribunal 1965, being held in The Hague, the Netherlands, saying that Indonesia works on its own justice system.

Attorney General HM Prasetyo refused to accept the mass killings of 1965 and 1966 being brought before a tribunal overseas.

"We solve our own issues. There is no need for other parties to be involved in this," he told kompas.com.

He said the government was making continued efforts to resolve past human rights violations, however, there had faced difficulties in finding evidence and witnesses to testify.

Questioning sessions and early investigations conducted by the National Commission of Human Rights (Komnas HAM) could not yet be brought to the full investigation stage he said.

"The government is trying to resolve the violations through reconciliation, but there are so many things to discuss and prepare," Prasetyo said.

State Secretary Pratikno said the government was working to prepare a systematic solution for the human rights violations.

"President [Joko Widodo] directed us to [work] based on our own justice system," he said.

The international tribunal, initiated by human rights activists, is being held from Nov. 10 to 13, marking the 50th anniversary of the massacre of up to 1 million considered members or supporters of the Indonesian Communist Party (PKI).

Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister Luhut Binsar Panjaitan also questioned the people's tribunal, claiming it was unjust.

"Who do they want to try? How can they make a decision about our [case]?" he said.

Nursyahbani Katjasungkana, the general coordinator of the International People's Tribunal 1965 earlier announced that there would be seven judges, six international prosecutors and 16 witnesses taking part in the tribunal.

She urged the government to apologize as the first step toward recognizing the crimes committed by a past government, and also take into account the recommendations resulting from the tribunal. (rin)(+)

And even if the tribunal has no legal standing in Indonesia, the prosecutors are confident that it can lead to political victories in the future.

The tribunal also tackled the “complicity” of the governments of the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia in the commission of the mass crimes in 1965. A witness alleged that these governments “provided radio-communication equipment in order to facilitate communication between the troops and delivered small arms and money. They also provided lists of alleged PKI members to the Indonesian authorities.”

As expected, the Indonesian government dismissed the international tribunal as a farce. It reminded the participants that Indonesia is a sovereign nation with a functioning legal system. It also insisted that President Jokowi will not apologize for the actions of the army in 1965. Some hardliners even branded the Indonesian participants as traitors and communists.

BOOK

The New Rulers of the World

by John Pilger

"Pilger tackles the injustices and double standards inherent in the politics of globalization and exposes the terrible truth behind the power and wealth of states and corporations

John Pilger is one of the world’s renowned investigative journalists and documentary filmmakers. In this classic book, with an updated introduction, he reveals the secrets and illusions of modern imperialism. Beginning with Indonesia, he shows how General Suharto’s bloody seizure of power in the 1960s was part of a western design to impose a “global economy” on Asia. A million Indonesians died as the price for being the World Bank’s “model pupil.” "

COMMENT

The West is responsible for facilitating murder and atrocity on a MASSIVE SCALE, yet no Westerner has been held accountable for facilitating the 'knocking off' 500,000 to a million 'communist sympathisers', in the noble endeavour to save the world from the 'horrors' freedom from economic exploitation.

It is astounding that the above writer  absolves Australia of responsibility on the following basis:

"Australia’s actions as an accomplice to these killings should not be exaggerated. The massacres of the PKI took place against the backdrop of years of tension and hatred between the Army and the PKI, in a complex internal political environment that would have seen the killings take place regardless of any role Australia might have played." [source - above]

The 'backdrop of years of tension', 'hatred' and 'complex internal political environment' could just as readily apply to the Balkans or to World War II Europe or, really, any other contest.

It looks like the attitudes, the course of action taken, and the standards applied depend entirely on who performed the deeds in question, and what is in it for the champions of global capitalism.

While Radovan Karadzic has been convicted in some US war criminal sponsored kangaroo court, knocking off half a million to a million pesky Indonesian commies happens to be just fine -- even something to be proud of, by the look of things.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking when you consider the enormity of what the West has supported here -- and this is just ONE example of murder, torture and suffering on a massive scale, in a LONG SERIES of wilful evil-doing, right around the globe, committed by those that would have us believe they are the 'righteous' among nations -- this glorious 'international community,' as they refer to their vicious, destructive coterie.

And these are the shining examples of humanity that would have us believe the Third Reich 'Nazis', and not they, are the epitome of 'evil' that was righteously conquered for the good of the entire world that our noble WWII heroes have ... *cough* ... lovingly liberated.
