Ukraine would have been carrying on about the Russian humanitarian aid convoy or the phantom 'Russian tanks' in Ukraine they 'destroyed' .. which was all bull, of course.

So just as well that there's some level headed people who don't buy the Ukr cry-baby non-sense.

Anyway, Bildt appears to have come on all strong and anti-Russian about a supposed 'violation of international laws'.  

Just as well everyone in the EU isn't Carl Bildt. 

Minsk Customs Union (> Eurasian Union) #Ukraine's #EU Assoc. Agreement regional impact looks up for discussion .. will fur fly??

Putin and Poroshenko will be at this meeting.  Don't know anything about Customs Union ... new to looking at politics.  But if the European Union Association Agreement impacts on region (Eurasia) may be a topic, it could be an interesting meeting.

Meeting's in a week.  Hoping I'll remember and follow up.

This EU 'community method' and 'community' this and that is a load of garbage.

I see the EU as an extremely dangerous extra or supra-national organisation that has eroded national sovereignty and has waaaaay too much to say about way too much in politics, economics, law etc.

The EU seriously gives me the creeps.  Big time.  How did nations fall for this EU bullshit?

It's like some horror movie where you just want to scream:  Get out of the EU!  Run!!!

A Top Diplomat for Europe: Who Will Replace Catherine Ashton? August 14, 2014 The European Union will soon select its next “foreign minister”—the high representative for foreign affairs and security policy—but rumors suggest an opportunity may be missed. At a time of so many international crises, Europe needs a more robust voice and America needs a stronger partner. Now should be the time for a more effective European voice in foreign affairs. The usual means of jockeying for jobs in Brussels should not drive decision making. Generating a needed sense of unity and activism behind any new lead in articulating European foreign policy should be the desired objective. Controversy in the recent choice of the next president of the European Commission, the EU's executive body, ought to be avoided in the selection of the new high representative. President-elect Jean-Claude Juncker, heretofore not one of the continent’s most widely known figures, will need heft with German chancellor Angela Merkel and other top leaders, for example, to help shepherd to a successful conclusion the negotiations with America on the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership. Two years ago in Warsaw in a public discussion with Polish foreign minister Radek Sikorski, former U.S. secretary of state Henry Kissinger chuckled that long ago he was credited with asking whom he should call if he wanted to call Europe. “I am not sure I actually said it, but it's a good statement.” More seriously, he added, “Even if a telephone exists and even if they answered it, the answer is not always very clear.” In replacing Baroness Catherine Ashton when she departs in October, the new high representative will jump right away into high-stakes diplomacy with U.S. secretary of state John Kerry and Russian foreign minister Sergey Lavrov. Kerry served for nearly three decades on the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee, and was a presidential candidate before becoming secretary last year. The next high representative ought to be in this class. The top diplomat should breathe life into the EU’s stalled common foreign and security policy. The next high representative ought to be widely respected and capable of giving the Union a more prominent place at the international table. Only some of the candidates being discussed meet these criteria. Sweden’s current foreign and former prime minister Carl Bildt would raise the EU’s diplomatic prominence as high representative. A veteran international statesmen, he helped bring peace in the Balkans. Poland’s current foreign and former defense minister Radek Sikorski also has deep international experience. He is playing a key role in helping the West deal with the Russia-Ukraine crisis.  .... Of course close US-EU cooperation is essential to the US.  The EU is just another one of it's ITS tools for manipulation and control.

Sweden's Carl Bildt and Polands Radek Sikorski are the most obvious US puppets you could ever come across.

It would serve the US well to have one of those sock puppets appointed.

Sweden whining about sanctions -- but were fine with sanctions on Russia. Hypocrites.

Sweden seriously concerned about EU security after Russia import ban August 08, 16:52 UTC+4 STOCKHOLM, August 08. /ITAR-TASS/. Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt said on Friday he was deeply concerned about the European Union’s security following Russia's ban on imports from the West. “There is no doubt that the situation is extremely worrying,” Bildt told Radio Sweden. “This is the most worrying situation in European security policy I have ever had to face for quite a long period of time - 25 years.” On Thursday, Russia announced suspension of food imports from Norway, Canada, Australia, the United States and the 28-nation European Union worth billions of dollars in retaliation for sanctions imposed by those nations in recent weeks over events in Ukraine. The ban, targeting cheese, fish, beef, pork, fruit, vegetables and dairy products over the next 12 months, is expected to seriously affect Western economies. Combined with other import bans imposed earlier this year, the new trade measures cover Western imports worth $9.1 billion in 2013, according to Russian customs data. So it was fine when Swedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt was calling for tougher sanctions on Russia, along with his Polish wannabe American buddy, Radoslaw Sikorski, but he's whining about sanctions imposed by Russia?

What a pack of hypocrites.  Bildt was among those calling for 'tougher' sanctions on Russia.

Take it like a man, Bildt.  Surely it's no more than expected.  Don't play coy now.

As for worried about 'security', get real.  What he's worried about is money.

Politics is always about the money.  Follow the money.
