NOAM CHOMSKY Which takes me back to another video that I watched about Palestine and Israel - Noam Chomsky's UN speech:
It's worthwhile taking the time to watch the Noam Chomsky video because he explains the ways in which a political solution has been dodged. Israel-Palestine conflict: general outlines of a diplomatic solution has been clear for at least 40 years. 1) Non-implementation Resolution 2) Event vetoed from history ..1976 UN Resolution> Israel refusal to attend + US veto of implementation of Resolution (& from history) SET PATTERN SINCE The above points were summarised weeks ago, and this is one of the things I didn't get around to finishing. Hopefully it makes sense. I thought the Chomsky UN video was amazing. It explains in simple terms what's really going on, which was a revelation to me, as I'm new to politics and as you don't get this sort of information from mainstream media.

Why are these foreigners interested in getting involved in the internal affairs of Palestine - ie the Hamas disarmament factor?
How long are foreigners expected to be checkpoint guards?
Why are the Palestinians even corralled off on a tiny slither of land?
And good luck with the Christian Democrat plan on disarming Hamas.

Don't suppose Hamas is going to give an interview to Fox News and German ZDF network, so we can hear their side of the story?
Israel is NOT a European/Western country. It might have European settlers of mixed and Semitic origin, but it is a Middle-Eastern country.
I'm not religious and I don't understand how people can be religious or why they seek to impose their own take on religion on others, so I don't understand why the fundamentalists are so full on or what threat they allegedly pose to Europe.
But I'm inclined to think it's some propaganda bogeyman, because it's unlikely that one group of Arabic people will ever dominate another group of Arabic people and it is more likley that there will *always* be a struggle between the various groups' beliefs and that there will never be a united Arab (or Islamic) world.
If Israel were to disappear there'd be missiles to send from Turkey or wherever else, so I don't know what he's talking about.
The appeal to the fight against 'anti-Semitism' combined with the emphasis on 'shared liberal values' is a brilliant move by Netanyahu.
Not too many in the West are likely to sympathise with picture of extremist, unforgiving head loppers coming their way -- soon.
How real is that threat? Who knows? I've only just started watching politics. On an emotional level, the spectre Netanyahu raises is very hard to shake off. It's undeniably scary.

Psaki is just providing the Israelis with the same 'excuse' for kill Palestinian civilians.
Don't know that I'd take anything Jen Psaki's got to say about Hamas as gospel.

On July 27 the US State Department released satellite images via email “proving” that Russia was firing rockets at Ukrainian troops across the border. The images were posted on Twitter by the US ambassador to Ukraine, Geoffrey Pyatt. The four-page document, titled 'Evidence of Russian Shelling into Ukraine,' contains four satellite images, all dating between July 21 and July 25/26. The slides were prepared by the US Office of the Director of National Intelligence (DNI), and have a short description.

‘Wrong time, altered images’: Moscow slams Kiev’s MH17 satellite data

Satellite images Kiev published as ‘proof’ it didn’t deploy anti-aircraft batteries around the MH17 crash site carry altered time-stamps and are from days after the MH17 tragedy, the Russian Defense Ministry has revealed.
The images, which Kiev claims were taken by its satellites at the same time as those taken by Russian satellites, are neither Ukrainian nor authentic, according to Moscow's statement.
The Defense Ministry said the images were apparently made by an American KeyHole reconnaissance satellite, because the two Ukrainian satellites currently in orbit, Sich-1 and Sich-2, were not positioned over the part of Ukraine’s Donetsk Region shown in the pictures.
Moscow claims weather and lighting conditions in the images were not possible at the dates and times Ukraine claims they were made, the Russian ministry said.
