On closer inspection, I’m guessing I may have offended the guy be re-tweeting a tweet of his in this 'bundled' manner, rather than directly re-tweeting (which I should have done). I’ve no idea why I’ve manually re-tweeted (non-translated) content that could have simply been directly re-tweeted.  Rather embarrassed I've done something that silly. It says ‘RT” and the link’s there to this guy’s post, so it’s not like I intended to claim this as my own content. But it would have made more sense to have sent it along via the re-tweet function, than to have manually re-tweeted! Looks like I suffered a bit of a brain malfunction on the day.  LOL.  It took me forever to figure out who had actually blocked me and then the why. Firstly, I couldn’t work out if it was the re-tweeter to me or originator of some tweet.  Secondly, there was a lag of scratching my head wondering what vile offence I may have committed, before embarking on a search for a likely ‘offending’ communication.  Wasn't hard finding this; it's the only possible link.  So this must be the bad boy! Now that I know, it’s something of a relief, as it's truly disconcerting to find yourself ‘blocked’ by a Twitter user you cannot recall engaging in any way (or upsetting in any way). Must've been manically churning information, possessed. No offence was intended.  No appropriation was intended. Lost heaps of weight undergoing my current online 'possession'.  Too focused to eat.  Perfect for weight-loss... but not so good for anything practical that ought be done. It’s rather bizarre to be on someone’s ‘blocked’ list over something so insignificant and just dumb on my part.  If I’d been messaging this guy and upsetting him, I could understand finding myself blocked – but blocked from re-tweeting because I did something dumb as an over-enthusiastic tweeter?  The funny thing is, I initially thought it was some dude from the Russian embassy blocking me!  Lucky I checked it out, because they'd have thought I was a crazy lady had I launched into some tirade about being censored.  LOL The lame thing about being 'blocked' is that I'm only blocked from re-tweeting 'legitimately' via the re-tweet function.  But I could still re-tweet in the 'bundled' manner (not planning on it; just saying), so the whole thing's a bit pointless. I've un-followed a couple of accounts today, which is something I don't like to do. Feels bad.  Hence my follow-reluctance.  But if I'm not into the content, there's no point cluttering up the stream of information.  Anyway, that's my experience being Twitter-blocked -- or is that tweet-blocked?

'Whatever' is a good title Discovered that my attitude to things is conflicted.  Hard to explain.  Kind of like thinking -- in abstract terms -- maybe you're bent, but discovering in concrete terms you're maybe rather straight. Unpleasant feelings of dissonance. Reluctance to examine why. Wondering if I am capable of believing in anything at all.  To be honest, I don't think I have any particularly deep or abiding beliefs.  Perhaps I have just have tendencies that I rarely examine. The devotion to beliefs and the culture of causes tends to irritate me, because I see either ignorance or self interest in the pursuit of one or the other. Attitudes, ideas, thoughts or beliefs that reside in me are contradictory and unorthodox. No point struggling against that.   An easy feeling comes over me when I accept that I am what I am and conclude that it's enough.

SWEDISH POLITICAL LANDSCAPE & THE FEMINIST AGENDA

Every country needs a political party like Sweden’s Feminist Initiative It’s easy to dismiss such organisations as pie-in-the-sky idealists, but this Sunday’s election could see it make history Christian Christensen theguardian.com, Friday 12 September 2014 19.00 AEST There is an election in Sweden in a few days, and if you mention the fact that a feminist party is close to entering parliament you will often receive knowing eye-rolls in response. Of course, Sweden … where else? This country, after all, is the land of gender-neutral pronouns, “latte dads” proposals to tax men to offset the cost of domestic violence and a tourism website proudly proclaiming “the modern Swedish man is a feminist”. (From my entirely subjective experience, these eye-rolls are significantly more common and exaggerated if you happen to be speaking to a man.) The problem with this understanding of feminism and gender politics in Sweden is that it is a mélange of fact, suggestion and myth. Yes, Sweden is ranked as one of the best places for women to work and have children, but it is also a place where men dominate corporate boards, make more money than women for the same work and take four times less parental leave than women. And, of course, this is in addition to the everyday sexism and sexual violence that permeates Sweden, as it does virtually every country in the world. The fact that Sweden is “better” than other countries when it comes to gender politics is not to say that equality has actually been achieved. Enter Sweden’s Feminist Initiative. Founded in 2006, the stated aim of the party is to “drive through a feminist politics for a world free from discrimination” and to undermine “gendered power structures”. It’s not often a political party that looks likely to attract a tiny proportion of the vote in a country of 10 million garners much attention, but as Swedes head to the polls on Sunday, FI could make a small piece of history. With support nearing 4% – the threshold required to enter the Swedish parliament – FI could become the first feminist party to enter parliament within an EU country, and one of a miniscule number to do so globally. ... But in the run-up to the 2014 European parliament elections, Sweden went through what FI leader Gudrun Schyman has called a “feminist spring”. There were television programmes on the state of Swedish feminism, a national debate took place and FI began to see significant growth in membership. In turn, poll numbers rose and, amazingly, FI became the first feminist party to get a seat in the European parliament when it attracted 5.3% of the vote. The language used by the party can be alien to outsiders, with words such as “heteronormativity”, “structural discrimination”, “patriarchal” and “subordination” sprinkled throughout its website. The tone can be academic in nature and FI is often dismissed as a one-issue party with little grasp of how its feminist agenda can be applied in practice. To me, this dismissal misses the larger point regarding the party’s practical and symbolic importance. Whether or not FI enters the Swedish parliament, what it has contributed to the Swedish political landscape is another important layer to what I describe as a “national conversation for adults” about feminism and gender politics: a conversation, I argue, that I did not see in other countries where I have lived – namely the US (my home country), the UK and Turkey. It seems impossible to have a grown-up discussion on gender equality unless you can agree that discrimination at the macro and micro levels of society is real and doesn’t just exist in the heads of mythological, cartoonish man-haters. I grew up in Europe in the late 1970s and 80s, and remember how the greens were dismissed by the mainstream media and political establishment as nothing more than a motley collection of ex-hippies with no understanding of real-world politics who coalesced around a single issue. Now, 40 years later, I think it is fair to say that the greens were way ahead of their time, and it was the media and political establishment who were ill-informed, condescending and short-sighted.  [ a) Apples & Oranges + b) Acceptance of one ideology etc, is irrelevant in weighing up the merits of likewise accepting some other ideology.] In the same way, it is all too easy to dismiss parties such as FI as “pie in the sky” idealists racking up protest votes. Somebody needs to go to town on the irrational Swedish feminist agenda, its proponents and the consequences.

What's wrong with the journalists; are they all too pussy to wade in?

As I see it, this irrational feminst agenda (that's no doubt been hijacked and exploited by the unscrupulous) has a far-reaching impact not only on the political climate in Sweden, but also on culture, society, legislation, the operation of law and, ultimately, on justice.

Furthermore, this all-pervasive and omnipresent cock-eyed agenda that's been exploited to further other agendas (that have nothing to do with feminism), has in fact empowered the Swedish State to disempower Swedish women: to infantalize Swedish women, to silence Swedish women and to, ultimately, *control* Swedish women -- as if Swedish women are merely silent, passive and invisible chattels which are the property of the State of Sweden, rather than fully independent, autonomous, capable, legally recognised and equal beings.

The Assange case clearly demonstrates the warped relationship between Sweden (the State) and the gagged, impotent, silent, invisible (and unwilling) women it claims to represent.

Sweden definitely needs a 'national conversation' but that conversation is not limited to the considerable issue of the 'feminist' agenda in Swedish society.

The conversation that Sweden needs to have extends to a host of unspoken, but related, elephant-in-the-room problems that are the result of commercial, geopolitical agendas (overt and hidden), that have been pursued by the monied classes and backed by domestic politicians, without regard for the integrity or welfare of Swedish society.

According to reports US had CIA training 5,000 Syrian rebels in Jordan and, I think Saudi Arabia was somehow involved.   An Israel newspaper reported that Israel intelligence considers invasion of Jordan by Islamic State imminent, that Jordan has asked for help and that they are prepared to attack if this eventuates. Thailand has a HUGE problem with cybercrime and other crime, and there's international gangs from all over the place robbing Thailand blind by the sound of it.  Hackers and well as house breakers and more.   Never imagined Thailand as a Mecca for crime. Today's Travels Not a lot happens in Moldova ... I think. Some money laundering with someone from the Russian Federation that involved a NZ company.  Massive amount of money.  But not as impressive as the amount of money the Mexican drug cartels turn over.  Recent bust.  LA garment district, I think it was.  H.U.G.E. money.  Something like $70 million in cash alone. Azerbaijan and an autonomous republic seem to be buddies and the Pres of Az is related by marriage to the 'lord' of the landlocked district (Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic) -- Vasif Talibov. Had to look that up.  Trouble remembering:  Nakchivan Nakhchivan. Vasif Talibov is "said to run the region as his "personal fiefdom" and he: "supported Heydar Aliyev after his return from Moscow to Nakhchivan to seize power and participated in the establishment of the New Azerbaijan Party (NAP) founded by Haydar Aliyev." Just spotted a very strange link between Nakhchivan and a region in Austria - Styria (Steiermark).  'Cleantech' is the big money spinner in the region, which relates to recycling, renewable energy, grey water, information technology (odd man out?) etc. Security forces said to use "excessive force against opponents of the ruling regime" and Talibov seen as member of ruling oligarchy "centred around the Aliyev family". Ilham Aliyev, Az Pres is son of a former president of Azerbaijan (Heydar Aliyev, born Nakhchivan, & "ousted from Politburo by Gorbachev"), his government is described as 'autocratic' and is said to be corrupt.   US / Amnesty International allegations: election 'irregularities' crackdowns against journalists and opposition activists jailing of election monitors In 2009 Aliyev: "passed a referendum which removed the presidential consecutive term limit, thereby allowing him to run for president as many times as he wishes." There's also a standing provision (couldn't be bothered checking again) that the president is immune from being sued or something like that. Ilham Aliyev is described by Daily Mail as a "billionaire dictator" and a "despot" and the country is described as an "oil rich state".   In 2011 Prince Anderew stood down as UK trade envoy because of his relationship with Aliyev, who is accused of.   '...routine use of excessive and brutal force by police, restrictions on public protest, and the censorship imposed on bloggers and journalists who are beaten and imprisoned for criticising the government.’ Some other DM article indicates massive oil wealth and a population of fewer than 10 million. Tried to find the 'missing princess' but I couldn't find her, so she must belong to some other country. Did come across a photo of protester being savagely beaten, so maybe it's no bull about the human rights violations. Too tired to look any more.  It's just a snippet of Azerbaijan which will hopefully come in handy next time I read something associated. ........................................................................... PS I've had to keep editing the reference to the autonomous republic because I'm confusing it with some other  'defacto republic' that the Armenians and Azerbaijanis fought over and have mixed up the details. Pain trying to keep them straight. This one's landlocked. The other one isn't.  The other region is a 'mountainous' and borders Armenia -- it's Nagorno-Karabakh. Initially thought it also bordered Iran & Turkey, but on second (quickie) look, I don't think it does. I'm on the verge of collapse, so I'm not confirming.
