ČR's diplomacy: Russia breaches human rights in Crimea

Prague, March 18 (CTK) - The human rights situation in Crimea has dramatically worsened since its annexation by Russia a year ago, the Czech embassy in Kiev writes in a secret report for Prague, public Czech Radio (CRo) said Wednesday, adding it has a copy of the report at its disposal.
The report comes from last summer, but according to the radio's sources, similar information is being constantly sent to Prague.
"The Foreign Ministry is concerned about some reports on the growing reprisals in Crimea," the Czech Foreign Ministry said in its press release.
It stressed that the report from the Czech embassy in Kiev was not secret, but a routine wire used as every-day communication between embassies and the Foreign Ministry.
The Czech Republic still considers Crimea a part of Ukraine and its occupation by the Russian troops and subsequent annexation a gross violation of international law, it added.
According to the report of which CRo informed Wednesday, Russia breaches all human rights and freedoms on the peninsula and it started massive repressions against the inhabitants after the occupation of Crimea.
The Russian repressions target not only activists, but also ordinary citizens. The situation of the Crimean Tartars is worst, the report says.
The Czech diplomats in Kiev say people are tortured, beaten, intimidated, detained and falsely accused in Crimea.
The Crimean parliament declared the peninsula's independence of Ukraine one year ago. Four days later, Crimea formally joined the Russian Federation. Kiev refuses to recognise this step and it continues to consider Crimea its territory.

COMMENT
'Secret report'? Yet it's a Czech government agency to Czech government agency. Please. Spare the melodramatics.
The pro Russian commentators are right; the West and their buddies are going to use Crimea as an ongoing tool to smear, criticise and sanction Russia.
Czech Foreign Ministry 'concerned'? Oh, sure. The only thing they're concerned about is undermining the Russians any way they can. And why not? Czechs appear to be on very cosy terms with the US and CIA.
Article contradicts itself. Make up your minds. Secret report or routine report?
Czech Republic considers Crimea a part of Ukraine? Well, that settles it then.
The Crimeans that voted for reunification with Russia (Crimea being historic Russian territory), should all do as the Czech republic and their Yankee friends see fit: surrender at once to a neo-Nazi US-puppet, Russian-hating, illigitimate Ukraine regime.
Russia should start issuing statements along the lines that it does not recognise Czech sovereignty. That would be good for a few laughs, much like this Czech proclamation.
Article goes on: Russia doesn't just breach human rights in Crimea; it breaches 'all human rights'. Yep. Sure. If you're going to write propaganda, at least try to make it believable by making it moderate.
Activists, 'ordinary citizens', and the Crimean Tatars in 'peril', are now the go-to tool in the anti-Russian smear, criticism & divisiveness arsenal of the likes of these US puppet Euro-wankers.
Czech diplomats claim the population is subjected to "tortured, beaten, intimidated, detained and falsely accused in Crimea."
Sure sounds a lot like America to me. Happens every single day in USA. But you won't hear those Czech stooges writing reports and complaints about that.
Of course, this Russian smear is couched in terms of 'concern' for those in Crimea. Particularly the Tatars. Keep an eye on the Tartars. I'm guessing this is a sector of the population that the West will attempt to use.
The Crimean parliament didn't merely declare independence. Independence was declared following a referendum that overwhelmingly supported independence from the illegitimate Ukraine regime, in favour of reunification with Russia.
The Czech ambassadors, via Czech state radio, dutifully inform us that Ukraine refuses to recognise the will, the law and the independence of the Crimean people. What a joke, coming of an illegitimate US puppet government.
