Chicken Korma
... again

That's dinner.  Prepared another huge batch of korma for freezing.

Not sure I can eat it.  It's another round of standard arguments here.

Same sh*t, different day.

I feel like the Peter Dutton of this household:  I'll point out a fact; my having done so becomes 'reason' for uproar (but, really, a means of distracting from the subject at hand).  A 'melodrama' ensues.  Insults are exchanged.  Same sh*t.  Different day.   That's entertainment.
How much mileage can there be had out of exchanging the same insults?  Plenty, apparently.  It's kind of like those public 'debates' that go on and on and on and on and on, year after year after year ... without ever resolving anything.
Right now, I feel like knocking him out.  But, of course, I can't.  I'm not physically capable.  LOL

Peter Dutton
Minister for Immigration & Border Protection
appearance on:  Paul Murray Live
Sky News

Peter Dutton:

Well, for many people they won't be, you know, numerate or literate in their own language, let alone English, and this is a difficulty, because the Greens are very close to the CFMEU [Construction, Forestry, Mining and Energy Union], as obviously the Labor Party is, and their affiliations with the labour movement are obviously well-known.

Now, these people would be taking Australian jobs.  There's no question about that.  And for many of them that would be unemployed, they would languish in unemployment queues and on Medicare and the rest of it.

So there would be huge costs.  And there's no sense in sugar coating that.  That's the scenario.

Now, we have a managed program at the moment.  It's 13,750 a year that we bring in through the Refugee Program, but we don't bring people and we will not settle people who come off boats.

Now, one of the little known policies that Labor's put forward in this election campaign, is that they want to double that number from 13,750 up to over 27,000 people.

Now, that's to try to buy off the left and hope in a campaign that they wouldn't break out in the way in which we've now seen over 25 candidates do that have broken out against Labor's policy.

But, as I say, there's no sense pretending, Paul, that if you said we're going to be super generous and take 50,000 and that will stop people smugglers putting people on boats.  It's a nonsense.

COMMENT

Once again the usual cacophony of bullsh*t fills the pages of Australian media and social media.

The usual 'leftist' dirtbags; conformist students; Champagne socialists; the ignorant, indoctrinated lambs following the 'activist' led flock; the immigration 'gravy-trainers'; the capitalist-propagandist employed immigrant-made-good media wonder-boys (and girls), selling the globalist agenda 'multicultural' feel-good messaging; and the middle-class intelligentsia virtue-signalling choir, are among the prevailing opinion-shaping chorus attacking Peter Dutton and, by extension, the Liberals.  Liberals, who at least show some sense on the subject of immigration.  But not much more than the rest of mainstream Australian politics.

Meanwhile, nobody's challenging the Labor Party and Greens useful idiots that are betraying the Australian working-class (as well as the most vulnerable in Australian society), who are saddled with the consequences and burdens of the fruition of political pressure that is applied incessantly by the self-interested and the moronic.

As per usual, what's at issue for both the politicians and media is merely the numbers, or it would be if they stopped smearing Dutton and addressed what is actually at issue on the surface in this instance.  But these scumbag bastards are all too busy capitalising politically by attacking Dutton to bother even scratching the rather innocuous numbers surface, let alone the underlying substance of the matter.  Sell-outs, the lot of them.

The presumption is that the open season on the integrity of what remains of Australian society shall be perpetually sustained.  Despite the fact that critical mass was reached in Australia decades ago and that Australia is now comprised of one-quarter foreign-born.   Yet mainstream Australian politicians of all flavours are uniformly on-board with the decades-long program of sinking what was Australia.  But this is as unmentionable as the carelessly and novelly expelled excrement that splatters warehouse and factory toilets.

Never mind the 'white flight' that has manifested itself in Australian schools; never mind the violent gangs (without fear of police) that rampage Australian city streets at will; never mind the prison demographics; never mind the brutal home invasions; never mind ghetto suburbs; never mind what amounts to race riots in Australian cities; and never mind that Australians now clash over the erection of minarets in Australian towns and suburbs.  And never mind the will of ordinary Australians.

By all means, attack Peter Dutton for telling it like it is:   open the floodgates to the Sinking Titanic Down Under, while the political and opinion-shaping orchestra plays same tune over and over, and over, and over again.

Sugar Wax & Aramean Music

Listening To

'Suryoyo Zeyno'
Syrian Aramean
This music is quite good.

Arabic Wax #1

This shot at 'Arabic wax' was a fail.  It's stuck like concrete on the plate that's soaking.  It's almost impossible to shift.  And I can't really do anything with it.

Maybe I shouldn't have used raw sugar?  Probably could have done with more liquid, too.

It's really crap.  It's like toffee, but I can't eat it.  LOL

-------/\/\/

Couldn't help giving it a crack, even though it isn't fit for purpose.

 Impossible to Remove ... LOL

Ouch!

Managed to do one leg ... with bruising.  It was brutal.  Wasn't game to put this stuff anywhere sensitive.  LOL

Wax got stuck to my other leg because I messed up the up-down rhythm I had happening and it just smeared ... and smeared.  There was no getting it off.  But I had a bath on standby.  Even so, I needed a scrubbing brush to remove it.

Second attempt at left leg was hilarious.  A huge hunk of the paste went flying across the bathroom & plonk straight into the bath.  It was useless to me after that, as I wasn't prepared to wait until it came good again.

So I now have wax/paste all over the bathroom and I need help getting it off the counters ... LOL.  And it's everywhere on the kitchen surfaces as well, but I haven't the brute strength to remove it.

Justice Department Opens Investigation Into Russian Doping Scandal

By REBECCA R. RUIZ

MAY 17, 2016

The United States Department of Justice has opened an investigation into state-sponsored doping by dozens of Russia’s top athletes, two people familiar with the case said. The inquiry escalates what has been a roiling sports controversy into a federal criminal case involving foreign officials.

The United States attorney’s office for the Eastern District of New York is scrutinizing Russian government officials, athletes, coaches, antidoping authorities and anyone who might have benefited unfairly from a doping regime, according to the people, who did not have authorization to speak about the inquiry publicly. Prosecutors are believed to be pursuing conspiracy and fraud charges.

Federal courts have allowed prosecutors to bring cases against foreigners living abroad if there is some connection to the United States. That connection can be limited, such as the use of an American bank.

[ ... ]

The inquiry, which originated with the Federal Bureau of Investigation, would have to clear several hurdles before charges could be filed. Even if prosecutors are able to establish jurisdiction, securing the cooperation of Russian authorities in pursuing evidence and witnesses — and in ultimately delivering any charged defendants to the United States — would be all but impossible.

It is rare for the United States government to take on sports doping cases. In February 2012, the United States attorney in Los Angeles, André Birotte Jr., dropped a two-year criminal investigation into Lance Armstrong and his Postal Service cycling team that had explored whether Mr. Armstrong and others defrauded sponsors by operating a doping program.

The Kitchen - Yoghurt No. 3

The Kitchen

Yoghurt Project #3

Yoghurt as Starter
Milk Cooling in Cold Water Bath

No. 1 - commercial yoghurt as starter + sour cream.
Good result.

No. 2 - prior (No. 1) yoghurt as starter  + powdered milk.
Not so good.  Rather runny result, as well.
But drained it in cloth.
Suspect that 200ml starter was insufficient for 2ltr batch.

No. 3 - commercial yoghurt as starter.
Going with 375ml per 2ltr starter, which may be overkill.
UPDATE
Turned out crap.  Separated, with loads of whey at bottom.  Too much starter:

"Too little starter makes runny yoghurt, but too much ... makes things separate into whey and thick cheese." [source]

I'm so jacked off.

-------/\/\/

Drained off, the result is cottage cheese (sort of) or something like an Indian paneer:

Tastes nice.  And it can be thrown into omelettes and whatever else.

If I want a cheese result next, I can follow the Indian method to do it on the stove top (with vinegar).

I'm so excited. Now I can make two dairy products.  LOL

Watched a video on butter making, but I'm not sure that one is worth the bother.

Next projects:
  • Yoghurt No. 4
  • Arabic sugar wax paste
  • massive chicken korma for freezing
Been watching waxing videos and wax recipe videos galore.

Aiming to make the Arabic wax paste

Swedish extradition request for Assange ‘a fit-up’ - UK intel chatter

Published time: 20 May, 2013 14:19

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange cited unclassified messages exchanged inside a UK intelligence agency to back his refusal to be extradited to Sweden. One of the messages calls sex-related allegations against Assange “a fit-up”.

The Australian, who has been stranded at Ecuadorian embassy in London for almost 12 months, cited instant messages he received from Government Communications Headquarters (GCHQ), the British signal intelligence body.

One message from September 2012, which Assange read out in a Sunday night interview with Spanish TV program Salvados, says: "They are trying to arrest him on suspicion of XYZ … It is definitely a fit-up… Their timings are too convenient right after Cablegate."

Another conversation he cited goes: "He reckons he will stay in the Ecuadorian embassy for six to 12 months when the charges against him will be dropped, but that is not really how it works now is it? He's a fool… Yeah… A highly optimistic fool."

Assange did not explain who the people exchanging the messages were, but said he managed to obtain them because they were not classified.

"[GCHQ] won't hand over any of the classified information," he said. "But, much to its surprise, it has some unclassified information on us."

GCHQ confirmed to RT that it released the info to Assange under the Data Protection Act. It can be used by individuals to obtain personal information that UK bodies have about them. The agency is exempt from the Freedom of Information Act, the usual mechanism for getting information of interest released by officials.

[...]

A British court ordered that Assange be extradited to Sweden, where authorities want to question him on sex-related allegations. He refuses to go to there unless it guarantees that it won’t extradite him to the US, where he faces espionage charges over data released by WikiLeaks.

[...]

The cost of the surveillance, which is believed to involve two police vehicles and eight officers on duty at all times, is now over $16,500 a day, Scotland Yard recently reported. The operation cost British taxpayers over $5 million since Assange got his refuge on June 19, 2012. By the time the anniversary falls, the sum is expected to have gone over $6.3 million.

WikiLeaks

Global - Wikileaks Statement on the 9 Month Anniversary of Cablegate: Release of 133,887 Cables

29th August 2011

Over the past week, WikiLeaks has released 133,887 US diplomatic cables from around the world - more than half of the entire Cablegate material (251,287 cables). The new release was met with a sustained Denial of Service (DOS) attack during the first 36 hours. WikiLeaks had to rely on back-up servers for some hours. With supporters’ help, WikiLeaks was able to bring in additional servers to stave off the attack.

For the first time, the diplomatic cables are available from every country that has US diplomatic representation. Until now, many countries had been excluded from the news stories, partly due to WikiLeaks media partners’ geographical bias, and partly due to Wikileaks’ resource constraints in establishing new media partnerships (there are now over 90).

Background

Nine months ago today, WikiLeaks launched Cablegate together with four media partners (Der Spiegel, El Pais, Le Monde, the Guardian) and the New York Times (who obtained the cables from the Guardian). The US administration and allied media groups responded with threats and intimidation. WikiLeaks and an alleged source, US intelligence analyst Bradley Manning, bore the brunt of these attacks. During the first weeks, calls to kidnap and assassinate WikiLeaks staff, and particularly its founder and editor-in-chief Julian Assange, were frequent. Shortly thereafter, VISA, MasterCard, PayPal, Bank of America and Western Union unilaterally prevented WikiLeaks from receiving donations from its supporters. The unlawful financial blockade of our publication continues, although WikiLeaks is suing VISA Europe and MasterCard, and has filed a complaint with the European Commission for serious breach. (For ways to donate, see http://wikileaks.org/support ). A secret grand jury in Virginia is deciding whether Julian Assange, a journalist and Australian national, can be charged with espionage for the publication of this material.

[comment: sealed U.S. Grand Jury indictment has been confirmed - Jan. 2011 - see image below ]

Rationale: release of 133,887 cables

Cablegate launched nine months ago today. Despite the amount of material yet to be reported on, mainstream media organisations in Europe and the United States have slowed their rate of publishing Cablegate derived stories. This has led to the misperception in Europe and the US that WikiLeaks has been less active in recent months. In fact, WikiLeaks has stepped up its activity, establishing new partnerships on each continent with local media organisations that can contextualise the cables and carry out in-depth analysis. WikiLeaks has gone from its four original partners in November 2010 to over ninety as of this month (August 2011).

[ ... ]

New stories include nuclear safety in China, a letter from the UN rapporteur to the US mission in Geneva inquiring on the reason why a US army soldier was not prosecuted for the killing of a Reuters journalist, a cable suggesting that the peaceful resolution of the conflict with North Korea may pose a risk to US interests in China because it may lead to China asking the US to leave its army base (some of the #wlfind stories are listed below).

Reading the above remark about the army base, I thought the US had an army base in China ... and then I thought Russia's doomed.

But I couldn't find a US base in China, so I must be reading that wrong.  LOL

It doesn't look too good for Assange, though.

An Australian journalist has been set up and undemocratically imprisoned in the UK for exposing US capitalist empire (and allied capitalist) crimes and wrongdoings, and he has been held arbitrarily for over 5 years in the UK, while the US capitalists have extended their jurisdiction worldwide, to criminalise journalism.

Hello?  Wake up sheeple!
