Chicken Biryani ... again

The biryani I made the other day was really good ... especially for snacking on the left-overs the next day.
Was going to see if I could find an Asian variation to do, but I've left it a bit too late to bother messing around.
I'm going with dried figs (chopped & soaked in a little hot water in advance) & sultanas, and toasted cashews.
This time around I've ground my species, rather than putting them in whole. I don't fancy picking out husks etc from my mouth as I'm trying to eat. But cinnamon stick and bay leaves will be whole. Doesn't matter, as they're easy to pull out when done.
Feel like something green, so I'll probably throw in a bag of spinach leaves this time around, as well.
Chicken will be sliced up Asian-style, as if I were preparing a chicken green curry. I prefer a fine sliced result to bite sized cubes, I think.
Took some bad photos of the process: stage one of the kitchen op ... lol
PS ... dried figs have been stored forever in a jar. Hoping they'll be OK. If not, I'll blog about the hospital visit.
.... not puking so far.
Not as nice this time around. Don't know what I've forgotten. Tastes bland.
