Risotto turned out really nice.
Made it up as I went along.
Ingredients: onion, ham, garlic & ginger paste (lazy), 1/2 tsp chilli powder, 1/2 tsp smoked paprika, 2-3 tsp paprika, fennel seeds, pepper, tomato paste, white wine 3/4 cup, stock 7 cups, 2 cups rice (rinsed); and any vegetables, plus wedge of butter and handful or so of Parmesan cheese, at end. I threw in grated carrots, forzen peas.
It's quick, easy, tasty & economical.
