Planet Tokyo EARLY MORNING WAKE-UP CALL Listening To EARLY MORNING WAKE-UP CALL https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fo9fzsbwTS8 Trying to find music I can get into.   Vaguely like something about this.  I like the constant repetitive percussion bits.  I always do.   And the sort of growling, 'climbing' guitar's nice.  High pitched guitar pisses me off.  I'm more into percussion and bass. Dorky sounding overall.  Too many different sounds.   Someone needs to rework this. I like the repetitive echo sort of thing.   But don't like what seems like the Japanese sound to it.  I think.  Sounds vaguely Japanese with some of the 'thin' music.  The Japanese sounding thing also reminds me of Billy Joel and I don't like Billy Joel.  Think there's only one song of his I like. The value of this lies in the driving beat reverberating.  Does that sound like a Louisiana or Boer South African back-beat?  OMG.  It's the Boer beat.  I love the Boer beat. Germans have done a version: here. I can't decide which one I like better.   I like the deeper sound of #1, I think.  No.  I like both.  I think. Prepared an impromptu Teriyaki Chicken & veg stir-fry with DIY Teriyaki sauce. Used Sweet Sherry instead of Saki.  Varied recipe somewhat. Think I added more sugar in my version.  And a splash of water because it seemed very strong to me.  I can't remember ... I tasted as I went along and just did whatever.  Also added garlic & ginger paste in mine. Like this recipe, too.   That was so bad I almost threw up.  It was stir-fry with chicken thigh cutlets.  I don't like lumps in my food. It makes me feel like gagging.  Had to spit the chicken out.   Thighs are OK in curry.  But I don't like them stir-fried. That was bad.  Another bad meal.  But at least I didn't burn this one. Side-tracked looking for traditional Boer music.  Found Celtic instead. This is nice.  Very different to the Boer music.  Mood totally clashes with what I was listening to.  This one's a downer.
